The building industry, through its day-to-day activities, is the primary sector concerned by falls from height. For this reason, and in order to reduce the risks, a number of grants have been set up by various government bodies. The aim of this financial aid for working at height in the building and civil engineering sector is to enable companies to invest in equipment. Implementing Article L.422-5 of the French Social Security Code (Decree of December 9, 2010 on financial incentives), the aim of this prevention program is to encourage the deployment of fall prevention measures for work at height in the building and civil engineering sector. The aim of the “Echafaudage+” simplified national financial aid scheme is to reduce the risks associated with falls from height, by helping companies to equip themselves with MDS (safe assembly and dismantling) foot scaffolding or rolling scaffolding, and by encouraging operator training in their use (assembly/disassembly/operation).
It is offered by the prevention department of each regional retirement and occupational health insurance fund (CARSAT). And it comes under the AFS (Aides Financières Simplifiées) scheme.
You are eligible if your company meets the following conditions:
This aid can amount to up to 40% of the investment (excluding tax), with a ceiling of 6,000 euros for free-standing scaffolding and 3,000 euros for rolling scaffolding.
Once you’ve submitted your supporting documents and quotes for the equipment you’re considering, the organization usually takes two months to respond. Please note that you must wait for the reply before purchasing your equipment, otherwise you may not receive the aid.
